Message	Are they referring to the light tapping noise the VTC system will make when the front spring wears out, or the loud rod bearing type noise a bad worn out VTC gear makes? They are 2 different things. I think this is why replacing the front spring isn't really a fix for the louder bad gear noise. I've posted pics before of a worn out VTC spring during a 60k maint. They do compress and become shorter over time. But that noise is way softer. Almost like a lifter tap.
